The Fifth Maritime Silk Road Buddhism Forum in Fujian, People's Republic of China.

The Most Ven. Phra Brahmapundit, Pof.Dr., the Sangha Supreme Council, the Chairman of the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Council, the abbot of Wat Prayurawongsawas Woravihara and the President of the National Buddhism Promotion Foundation led the university administrators, including Asst. Prof. Dr. PhramahaAnon Anando, Lecturer of the International Buddhist Studies College, along with accompanying staff, to attend “The Fifth Maritime Silk Road Buddhism Forum in Fujian And the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Buddhist Academy of Fujian at Buddhist Academy of Fujian University, Fujian Province, People’s Republic of China.


Venerable Ben Xing, the abbot of Kaiyuan Monastery in Fuzhou-Fujian, The People’s Republic of China, and the President of the Buddhist Academy of Fujian, “The Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Buddhist Academy of Fujian.” The ceremony included paying homage and expressing gratitude to Phra Brahmapundit, Ph.D, the Sangha Supreme Council, the Chairman of the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Council, the abbot of Wat Prayurawongsawas, and the President of the National Buddhism Promotion Foundation, who served as a preceptor and keynote speaker. The university administrators, including Asst. Prof. Dr. PhramahaAnon Anando, Lecturer of the International Buddhist Studies College also keynote speech at the event.





The forum will feature a discussion on two topics: Globalization of Buddhist Education and Cross-Cultural Exchange and How to Enhance Buddhist Education in the Chinese Context. It aims to foster mutually beneficial cooperation between the Theravada and Mahayana traditions of Buddhism and to promote educational and cultural exchange. This celebration is in hopes of strengthening our collaborative relationship and further enhancing the quality of Buddhist educational and academic exchange.


On this occasion, After Venerable Ben Xing, the abbot of Kaiyuan Monastery in Fuzhou-Fujian, The People’s Republic of China, delivered a welcoming speech, Phra Brahmapundit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kindness presented a special discourse on the topic” Buddhism, Maritime Silk Road, and MCU” amid the grand assembly of Phra Maha Thera, philosophers, scholars comprehend monks and approximately 2,000 esteemed individuals.
