Ven. Dr. Phramaha Weerasak Abhinanadavedi is a distinguished scholar dedicated to the study and teaching of Buddhism, peace studies, and meditation. He has made significant contributions to the academic community through his extensive teaching and research. Dr. Weerasak completed his Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies, M.A. in Linguistics, and B.A. in English with first-class honors from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), Thailand. Additionally, he holds a Pali Language Grade VII from Phrapariyattidhamma School Administration in Pali.
Ven. Dr. Phramaha Weerasak Abhinanadavedi specializes in Buddhism, peace studies, Pali language, and meditation. He has made significant contributions to both undergraduate and graduate education. At the undergraduate level, he has taught courses such as Mindfulness and Meditation at the International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC), MCU. His graduate-level courses include Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation, Meditation Therapy, Buddhist Meditation, Mindful Dialogue for Peace, Advanced Mindfulness and Meditation, and Mindfulness for Peace Engineers at IBSC, MCU. His responsibilities at IBSC also include serving as the Vice-Director and a lecturer.
Ven. Dr. Phramaha Weerasak Abhinanadavedi has presented numerous papers at international conferences on topics such as the characteristics of local leaders resulting in the enhancement of peace in communities. He has also authored several research articles, including "The Characteristics of Local Leaders Resulting in the Enhancement of Peace in the Communities," published in the Journal of Graduate Studies Review.
His research interests cover a wide range of subjects, from Buddhist philosophy and ethics to intercultural and social issues. Notable presentations include “Mindfulness and Philosophy of Mind Buddhist Concepts and Practice” and “Cross-Over Night To 2022 Prayer, Happy New Year.”
