On Wednesday, 19 March 2024,

Srinakharinwirot University to International Buddhist studies college (IBSC), MCU.

The students from Srinakharinwirot University organized excursion trip projects at IBSC, by faculty members and Students participated.

Excursion trip in this time organized Student Development Enhancement Project: Buddhist Seminar Program on the Topic “ Teaching Religion to young generation Z”.

In the seminar, we received insights from all six speakers, led by Most Venerable Phra Medhivajarapundit Prof,Dr,. Director of international Buddhist Studies College, Alongside with the faculty members from the Faculty of Buddhism, Tipataka Studies Institute and faculty members from the ASEAN Studies Center of MCU,who shared their knowledge with the students as well.

The discussion this time has received considerable attention from the society, including students from Srinakharinwirot University, who are highly interested in the topic. Some of this interest may stem from the challenging issues at hand, while others may come from the speaker’s fan base or societal perspectives.

There are many intriguing questions arising from the organizers’ preparation, and these questions are likely well-filtered by students to represent a balanced view across various religions or beliefs. While not explicitly focusing on any specific religion, there seems to be a strong Buddhist framework present.

Students have posed questions exploring religious perspectives, methods of indoctrination, and learning pathways, particularly focusing on teaching religion to Generation Z, the principles and methods of learning and understanding religion, and comparative religious studies.

Considering the principles, teachings, beliefs, and fundamental aspects of religion, along with history, truth, goodness, and beauty, may foster prosperity in the Dharma, both presently and in the future. Let it be a driving force for us all, regardless of nationality or religion, to be humble towards ourselves, compassionate towards fellow human beings, and respectful towards all living beings, aiming for personal success while contributing to the betterment of society in accordance with the principles of “Dharma.”
