The purpose of coming to study here is to allow students to learn and experience various forms of Dhamma practice, particularly the Plum Village-style meditation practiced by Luang Por THICH NHAT HANH.

The meditation practice in the Phlum Village tradition focuses on developing mindfulness in daily life. Participants engage in various activities, such as:

 • Guided Sitting Meditation: Short instructions guide participants’ thoughts towards practice, accompanied by the resonating sound of a bell to help internal reflection.

 • Walking Meditation: Participants walk amidst the community, symbolizing unity like flowing water, focusing on the sensations of walking and breath.

 • Eating Meditation: Promotes mindful eating in silence, contemplating the interconnectedness of all beings and expressing gratitude for the food.

 • Singing Meditation: Participants experience liberation through communal singing, regardless of age, expressing shared openness.

 • Dharma Sharing: Group discussions with teachers allow participants to exchange experiences and insights within their Dharma Family groups.

These are the activities we engage in during our time here.
